I have only had it for 5.5 hours. But the Steam Deck is my favorite tech purchase in the last 10 years. I started with a trial by fire; joining friends for our weekly Sea of Thieves session. Sea of Thieves is not deck verified, just proton, but it worked flawlessly. I used discord also on the deck for voice chat. I used the built in array mic and Bose QC35II’s for audio. I was able to install Rosalie’s Mupen64 flatpak, and playing N64 games within 2 minutes, no issues with input. My jaw is on the floor and it’s only the first week.

Once again 3D printing comes to the rescue. Lost my included cable pusher from several houses ago. So I made one courtesy of MisterC on thingiverse

Half of MVP is not MVP.

If I’m forced to be in your data lake you at least owe me a private kiddie pool.

One of the real beautiful things about 3D printing is being able to save something from the garbage heap; in 30 minutes of CAD, 45 minutes of printing, and one trip to my parent’s cabin.

This giant inflatable wasn’t able to maintain a seal after the o-ring cracked. My brother (a proper mechanical engineer) sent me (a hobbyist CAD modeler) the drawing and I got him the part in time for his yearly lake party.

Hello World! I decided to create a a micro-blog. I love the idea of social platforms but I can’t bring myself to use those systems. A more decentralized net is a win for us all anyways. I have no char limits here, and I’m sure I’ll abandon this just as I have my blog. (¬_¬)
